Arctic Circle’s Daylight Music – Autumn 2021

11 September - 11 December

‘The world needs this’ – Jon

Let’s quickly rewind to last year. As the rest of the live music scene in London, Daylight Music was forced to pause our series abruptly on 14 March 2020. Thanks to some overwhelming support from our community of supporters we crowdfunded enough money to present a new season.

With eight shows beginning in September we return with some of those artists and organisations we’ve come to cherish over the last decade and of course with many new exciting, dazzling and exceptional talents they’d like to show off as part of our expedition into new music this Autumn.

Midday to 2pm. An event for all ages. As always with this series we endeavour to make our audience feel as safe, comfortable and welcome as we possibly can. Pay-What-You-Can entry (we suggest £10 adult, children free) on the door, subject to availability/capacity.

“Daylight Music is an oasis of artistic quality, integrity and generosity for musicians and music lovers alike. We all need it in our lives, now more than ever.” – Angele

Unfortunately we had to move away from our home for the last decade the Union Chapel, in Islington but we’re excited to now be a London-wide series now with three ‘homes’ to explore together – beautiful, inspiring and most importantly welcoming spaces:  St John at Bethnal Green (Central), St John’s at Leytonstone (East), Grand Junction (West).

“It’s one of my favourite things to do on a weekend in London!” – Annikki

As time shifts, the nights draw darker and the weather changes we find ourselves moving from one season to the next. There is a lot to be positive about though as Autumn is a time of renewal and change, and we hope we can light a path for many back to live music with our re-imagined series of Daylight Music.
